For patients who have had both breast and nipple reconstruction. An areola is tattooed around the nipple, along with tattooing color onto the reconstructed nipple.
Arnoldo has worked with plastic surgeons and cancer patients since 1993. He creates the nipple areolar complex after a mastectomy and breast reconstruction.
For patients who have not had nipple reconstruction. A 3D illusion of a nipple is tattooed onto the breast, along with an areola.
"Arnoldo has worked with our patients doing tattooing of the nipple areolar complex to make the breast look more realistic..."
Nipple and areola tattooing will initially appear bright, hard, and red. Over the next few days, irritation will dissipate, removing the redness. A few days later the dead skin will begin to flake off. New skin, with its unique colors and tones, will regenerate over the ink appearing to change the nipple/areola color. Three and a half weeks after tattooing nipple and areola will heal to a soft natural look..
